Emerging in 2016, Omar Apollo is full of soul with a hint of indie-pop. His debut EP, Stereo, was released in 2018. After being gifted a guitar from his parents at the age of 12, Apollo learned how to play it with the help of his grandfather and Youtube videos. This led to him recording his own music by high school and releasing music online with songs like “Breaklights”.
In April of 2019, Apollo released his second EP, Friends. As a first generation Mexican-American, there weren’t many artists for Apollo to look up to in the world of funk, soul, R&B, and indie pop. Apollo has created his own path in the music industry all by DIY and is now compared to other artists like Raveena, Cuco, and Inner Wave.
