Red Bull Music Academy Sessions Kick Off in NYC (2/8)

Brooklyn Bodega, producers of the annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival are excited to announce that Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) will be hosted in New York City this fall, September 30 – November 2, 2012. Last fall, Red Bull hosted signature events in New York as part of the Red Bull Music Academy World Tour but this year they will be hosting their main event in New York which will include over a month of original music programming, workshops and offerings.   Interested producers, musicians, DJs, instrumentalists, and vocalists candownload an application form from the Academy website from February 2 and send it off with a selection of their tunes by April 2, 2012. Please note that applicants must by 21 by September 30, 2012 in order to apply. The East will play host to 9 Red Bull Music Academy Sessions in NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, DC, Virginia, New Jersey, Pittsburgh and Buffalo to get a taste of what to expect when the Red Bull Music Academy touches down in New York for its 15th edition this Fall.   The Sessions will kickoff in Brooklyn on February 8 at Public Assembly with Duckdown Music at 7pm. The night will feature a conversation with Buckshot, Dru Ha , and Skyzoo of Duckdown Music, followed by a special show with Smif-N-Wessun featuring Skyzoo and Buckshot with music by DJ Evil Dee at 10pm. The show will be recorded live for Red Bull Music Academy Radio.
