You may have read our Rest-In-Power wishes towards the recently departed Master Blazter drummer Javon “J-1″ Coleman (see his last known performance on video here) but if you never got the chance to see DaM-FunK & MB perform live, you may not have known what dude was all about. Curated entirely by J1, the comp features the work of OKP stalwarts ranging from Black Spade & Coultrain to Houseshoes to Eric Lau to Kev Brown to Georgia Anne Muldrow (not to mention DaM-Funk himself and the third blazter in Master Blazter, Computer Jay). *More importantly* proceeds from the sale go towards Javon’s family. Like somebody wise once said, you never know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone. Now we know.
