A3C Hip Hop Festival Announces First Round Of Artists

The best of Hip Hop returns to Atlanta this fall as the 3-day A3C Hip Hop Festival releases the first artists announcement of many to come for the 2012 event. Tech N9ne, Yelawolf, Hopsin, Gunplay, Oddisee, Chris Webby and Skyzoo are a few of the several hundred artists that will take the stage October 11-13, 2012. The festival also announces the Funk Volume, Mello Music Group and Supahotbeats x DJBooth.net showcases.

 

The showcase by indie label Funk Volume will feature artists Hopsin, Dizzy Wright, SwizZz and Atlanta’s own Jarren Benton. The Supahotbeats x DJBooth.net showcase includes Tech N9ne, STS, Emilio Rojas, Smoke (of Field Mob), Nikkiya, Ryatt, Input, Shawty Fatt, Big Page, Jackie Chain, Rittz, Diamond, Chris Webby and a special appearance by Ghet-O-Vision/Shady recording artist Yelawolf. Performing in the Mellow Music Group showcase is Oddisee accompanied by a live band, Apollo Brown with a special guest, Diamond District, yU and Slimkat78 as The 1978ers and Gensu Dean. OCD: Moosh & Twist, Boldy James, Soul Khan, Torae and Wordsworth will also perform over the festival weekend.

 

In addition, more than ten artists have been selected so far from ReverbNation and Sonicbids submissions. A3C is dedicated to discovering new talent and the online submission process is key to this initiative and the overall festival lineup. The chosen artists include Chaundon, Kepstar, Nova The Rebel, SK4MC, Phene, Nike Nando, Felony Fame, Eric Biddines, Skoolie Escobar and Mani Coolin’. A3C will continue to accept artists’ submissions through both websites until August 31. A3C staff listen to every submission and are looking for talented artists from across the country who can bring something unique to the festival. All artists that submit, regardless of selection, receive a 3-day festival pass through Sonicbids or a code to purchase discounted tickets through ReverbNation.

 

The A3C has not only become the largest Hip Hop festival in the United States, but is the premier gathering place for MCs, DJs, producers, A&R reps, Hip Hop musicians and fans of the culture. In addition to the live performances and showcases, A3C features turntable, emcee, producer and breakdance competitions as well as film screenings, style and streetwear exhibit, industry mixers, panel discussions, equipment demonstrations and more. The Pro Audio and DJ Gear Experience will once again showcase major manufacturers both in a trade show and onstage.

 

The 2011 festival included such exemplary artists as Big Daddy Kane, Big K.R.I.T., Dead Prez, Action Bronson, Random Axe, Freddie Gibbs, XV, Freeway, Fashawn, G-Eazy, GLC, Murs, 9th Wonder, Ying Yang Twins, Smoke DZA, Saigon, M.O.P., Jean Grae and hundreds more.

 

3-day passes for the 2012 A3C Hip Hop Festival are on sale now through the A3C website for $33 until August 1, 2012. Purchase a Woodallion ticket package, which includes a 3-day pass and a collectible Woodallion, before June 15 for $45. 3-day tickets at the door during the festival will cost $60.
