INTRODUCING New Artist: ANDY ALLO | Executively Produced by PRINCE
ANDY ALLO’s 2nd CD entitled “Superconductor” will be released later this summer. The CD contains 6 self-penned tracks and 3 songs co-written with Prince. The 3 songs written with Prince are “Superconductor”, “The Calm”, and “Gone”. Special guests on the CD so far include Maceo Parker, Trombone Shorty, The NPG, The Hornheadz and of course – PRINCE, who also executive produced the record.
Here is Andy’s Story…
Andy Allo is a natural born entertainer. Throughout her formative years, she wrote poetry and songs, sang and danced; and was well on her way towards becoming a versatile, multi-talented artist by the time she graduated from high school.In a little over four years, Andy has proven she could excel in many areas of the entertainment industry. She has represented various companies in national and international campaigns, hosted and acted in television shows, and released a debut album titled UnFresh, for which she wrote the lyrics and was a co-producer.Andy has achieved success in many fields of endeavor, but music has always held a special place in her heart.
In 2011 Andy was offered the opportunity of a lifetime when she was asked by Prince to join his band, The New Power Generation. She embraced the challenge and her new role as guitar player and singer touring with one of the world’s most brilliant musicians. She says: “It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and an experience I’ll never forget.” Easily recognized by her signature Afro curls and dazzling smile, this is a girl who takes on every challenge with wholehearted enthusiasm and determination. With her second album, Superconductor, slated for release this summer, it’s obvious this is only the beginning for the petite, curly-haired girl from Cameroon.
