The Martinez Brothers Announce US Tour

NYC house duo, The Martinez Brothers, embark on a nine date US tour, after spending their summer in Ibiza and starring as Blackberry’s “Be Bold” poster boys.  Effervescent, energetic, exceptional…where do you begin when describing the Martinez Brothers?

Their second gig was sharing the decks with NYC house icon Dennis Ferrer at Shelter, as teenagers they had already headlined iconic parties in Ibiza, Berlin and London and graced the cover of Mixmag. Today they are residents at Ibiza’s most cutting-edge underground party, DC10’s CircoLoco, while starring as ambassadors for Blackberry’s “Be Bold” Campaign and Mi Pepsi.

Blending techno, old and new school house, disco and hip-hop influences, the Martinez Brothers bring a maturity and knowledge to their production and DJing that belie their tender ages. Singled out by The New York Times for ‘bridging genres and generations with their youthful-yet-knowing D.J. sets, they are as comfortable playing driving techno in the main-room at Sven Vath’s Cocoon, as they are with deep house at New York’s Cielo.

As producers, their deep understanding of the history of dance music shines through. Whether it’s the dark house of their debut release as teenagers, “My Rendition” for home label Objektivity, the hissing techno of “Where’s Mr Brown” or the tech-house “Issshhh”, they bring sincerity and precision to their considered catalogue.

This Fall, after spending their second summer in Ibiza, the Martinez Brothers will tour the US, playing nine dates across North America, kicking off on October 12 in Boston. In addition too their tour, look out for “H 2 Da Izzo” releasing on October 3 via Real Tone Records.
