Legendary DJ/Producer J.PERIOD has announced a trail-blazing new adventure: his debut album, Story To Tell, a musical journey in three acts, with Chapter One due out April 30 on Truelements Music / RBC Records. Narrated by comedic mastermind Dave Chappelle, Story To Tell (Chapter One) is a collaborative endeavor that blurs the lines between song and story; between Hip Hop, R&B, Jazz, Reggae and Salsa. Lead track “All In Your Head” (feat. Dave Chappelle, Black Thought & Tiffany Gouché) is now available across platforms. With Chappelle as tour guide, “All In Your Head” kicks this storybook off with an angel-voiced manifesto for creative fearlessness sung by Tiffany Gouché, and a special appearance from The Roots’ frontman, Black Thought.
J.PERIOD’s past work includes collaborations with music royalty (The Roots, Q-Tip, Mary J. Blige, John Legend), a Billboard #1 for The Hamilton Mixtape, a landmark role as Music Supervisor for the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, and a founding seat on The Kennedy Center’s Hip Hop Culture Council.
