Grammy® Award winning trumpeter Maurice “Mobetta” Brown and DJ/producer Lee Farmer have joined forces to create the house music track “Stand Up & Dance“. An energetic remake of “Stand Up,” which appears on Maurice Brown’s latest album release, “The Mood,” this track is enhanced by a collaboration of musical heavy-hitters.

Producer Lee Farmer, veteran DJ and influential staple on the Chicago music scene, has amassed a musical super-group to contribute to a catchy track that promises to appeal to DJs, clubgoers and musicologists alike.

As in the original, the remake features the melodic vocal scat of Chelsea Baratz, who does double duty on the sax.  Stand Up & Dance adds the soulful vocal and keyboard additions by multitalented singer/songwriter/producer/musical director, Chris Rob. D Vibes contributes to Keyboards as well as adding the melodic piano intro.

Maurice Brown takes the horns to another level with an incredible solo while legendary Bassist Maurice “Mo Fitz” Fitzgerald thumps the bassline throughout. Lee Farmer, with some additional programming from Freak Fineman and Mobetta, brings it all in line with an infectious thumping Chicago House beat.

Final mix and finishing touches were added by “Bassy” Bob Brockman, who has mixed music for countless artists including the Fugees and Notorious B.I.G. and won Grammy awards for his work with Christina Aguilera and Kirk Franklin.

Finally, to add an element of surprise, the cover art was created by Public Enemy front man, the legendary Chuck D.

The Song was released on July 1st for download and streaming via all popular retailers including, Traxsource, iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Spotify, Tidal, Shazam, BeatPort, Google Play and Pandora.
