The company that shattered every boundary of American dance returns to Brooklyn with a vital display of world-class artistry. An AILEY performance isn’t just dance; it’s a force of nature—a rich sensory experience that embodies all the staggering joy and wistful longing that human movement can elicit.
This year’s exhilarating run includes a world premiere by renowned choreographer Jawole Willa Jo Zollar in collaboration with Company dancers Samantha Figgins and Chalvar Monteiro. Zollar recently completed 40 years at the helm of Urban Bush Women and will be AILEY’s 2025 Artist in Residence. Also featured is Elisa Monte’s Treading, a mesmerizing duet set to music by Steve Reich; the 25th anniversary production of Ronald K. Brown’s Grace, a spellbinding dance journey to the promised land; and Alvin Ailey’s visceral classic Revelations.
