The Apollo Salon Series in partnership with The New Black Fest is pleased to present DREAM, GIRL!, a reading by acclaimed playwright Lisa Rosetta Strum. In DREAM, GIRL!, they say the neon lights shine bright on Broadway, but not as blinding as the ambitions of Shirley  Clementine Walker. An ambitious performer willing to do anything to become a STAR, she must lose everything to find her way back, and dare to dream again.
