Saturday January 18, 2025
07:30 PM - 9:00 pm
Join us in the underground lounge of The Stowaway for a performance with NYC-based jazz player Bianca Love.
A native of New Orleans, Bianca Love has performed in India’s major metropolitan cities—Calcutta, Mumbai, and Pune, absorbing the music around her while immersing herself in the blues. In 2017, she returned to New Orleans, where she studied with several notable local artists, further expanding her musical abilities. She has shared the stage and recorded with many revered musicians, including Maurice Brown, Marcus Gilmore, Ben Williams, Takahiro Izumikawa, Lawrence Fields, Michael Ode, Joe Blaxx, and Kermit Ruffins.
In 2020, Bianca relocated to Los Angeles, where she organized a weekly jam in the heart of the city, fostering a sense of community and musical camaraderie. Today, she calls New York City home and continues to engage audiences with her expression and unwavering passion for music. Last fall (November 2023), Bianca was among the five finalists in the Sarah Vaughn International Jazz Vocal Competition and performed in the final ceremonies held at NJPAC in South Orange, NJ.
