From residencies in Madrid and the South of Portugal, it was meeting Pablo Ceballos that would shape the next 20 years. Pablo’s techno background welded into Chus’s house style perfectly, and from this fusion the Iberican Sound emerged and would go on to evolve into a worldwide trend. The Iberican Sound is their trademark, a personal vision of house music that has positively contributed to the worldwide scene of electronic music.

Throughout his career, Chus has received numerous awards such as ‘DJ of the Year,’ ‘Best House DJ,’ ‘Best Remixer,’ or ‘Best House Label.’ From this vast and prolific production work, he can highlight tracks like The Groove Foundation ‘That Feeling,’ DJ Chus & David Penn’s ‘Baila,’ and ‘Will I’, Chus & Ceballos’s ‘Iberican Sound’ ‘Strong Rhythm’ or ‘In Stereo.’ And remixes such as ‘Baguio Track’ for Luzon, ‘Haunting Me’ for Cuba Computers, ‘Hell in Paradise’ for Yoko Ono, ‘Dark Beat’ for Oscar G & Ralph Falcon, ‘Hang Up’ for Madonna or the latests’ Dance Again’ for Jennifer Lopez and ‘Addicted To You’ for Shakira.

Focusing on his solo career, Chus has launched a new imprint called Redolent. It’s a Madrid-based independent music company, record label, management agency, and lifestyle concept co-founded with La Santa. Redolent’s purpose is to cater to an evolving music industry and the development of emerging talent, representing a multi-cultural and eclectic group of artists from all over the world. The infusion of indie dance, deep tribal drums, evocative rhythms, and suggestive vocals is what makes Redolent the new home for experimental and provocative musicians and club-goers that are looking for a place to call home. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear new music from Chus as he returns to the District on Friday, March 3rd.
