After studying classical music in her youth, Sonja Moonear set aside the piano in favor of turntables. Surrounded by the Swiss mountains, Sonja immersed herself in the Geneva underground before finally infiltrating the ranks of the Weetamix residents in 2002. Although she was no stranger to Perlon, Sonja did not know that Zip was the cofounder and always remembers the day when he invited her to play his party in Berlin. The Swiss native would go on to meet Ricardo Villalobos at the old Panorama bar at one of the many “Get Perlonized” events, where they shared a 24 hour musical journey. Ever since, the Ruta 5 label boss has carved her artistic direction thanks to her true mastery behind the decks.
