The ultimate kickoff party to Movement Fest (if you know, you know.) This event will feature the musical synergy of Duality/Detroit, led by Ian Finkelstein on keys. Special guests include vocalists SUPERCOOLWICKED and Salākastar, guitarist Sasha Kashperko, conguero Dez Andrès, and drummer Amir Edwards, all of whom represent some of the finest musicians that Detroit has to offer. Also headlining the event is the incomparable Scott Grooves, a legendary figure in the Detroit house and techno scene whose unique productions and enigmatic presence have earned him international acclaim, making his only appearance during Movement Fest weekend. Also blessing the decks will be the Los Angeles-based disc jockey DETROIT PRINCESS, who hails from Detroit and will be playing her first hometown set at this event.

The Freak Press Ball will be highly anticipated by those who experienced Duality/Detroit’s Wednesday night residency and annual parties at Motor City Wine, as well as those who enjoyed the featured track “Moonlite (Duality/Detroit Live Version)” on Theo Parrish’s Detroit Forward compilation for DJ Kicks.
