Dizzy’s Club is excited to welcome tenor saxophonist Odean Pope for his debut performance. Hailing from Philadelphia, Pope draws deep inspiration from the Baptist church choir music of his youth. For this special evening, he brings together a quartet featuring Lee Smith on bass, Craig McGiver on drums, and Tom Lawton on piano. Pope’s journey, shaped by the same North Philadelphia streets that nurtured jazz luminaries like Benny Golson and John Coltrane, reflects a blend of reverence and innovation that promises to captivate and inspire.
