Vocalist Paulette McWilliams brings her new band Novoera (“new era”) to LACMA, showcasing her warm, smoky tones and her four-octave range on several stellar selections from her most recent album, A Woman’s Story, produced by Grammy Award–winning producer Kamau Kenyatta (Gregory Porter). Paulette has recorded and toured with a wide range of legendary artists as Marvin Gaye, Bette Midler, Quincy Jones, and Luther Vandross, and has performed at jazz clubs in London and Japan along with festivals including Monterey, Trinidad, Milan, Moscow, and Bern, Switzerland.
Jazz at LACMA is free and open to all. Seating is limited and first come, first served. Visitors are encouraged to wear face masks in all indoor spaces including restrooms.
