Jenni Stark’s poetic songwriting is grounded in powerful, unflinching honesty and defined by an elegant sense of melody and texture, skills she first developed as a classical flutist. After decades hiding her songwriting talents, she released her first collection, Salt Water, in 2021. Since then, in addition to being spun on local radio and reviewed by indie outlets, Jenni performs with her band (Danny Cohen, keys; Danny O’Brien, guitar; Justin Peters, drums; Tricia Scully, bass) live around Chicago, and just recently toured the near South. Her new album, bloodbeat, drops October 31, 2024.
