GRAMMY-nominated New Orleans drummer Joe Dyson started playing music in his family’s church at just 2 years old. His prodigious talent was honed under the tutelage of Alvin Batiste and Donald Harrison Jr. After graduating from NOCCA, he earned a scholarship to Berklee College of Music. He’s since toured and recorded with Dr. Lonnie Smith, Ellis Marsalis, Christian aTunde Adjuah Scott, and currently Pat Metheny. He’s appeared on over 30 albums and in 2021, Dyson released his own project “Look Within”.
