CALLING ALL FRIQUES! – On SAT 14 MAY, KCRW host and dj JEREMY SOLE presents the next edition of LE FRIQUE SONIQUE with the new diurnal (daytime) outdoor hours for the summer, opening 2 hours earlier for a proper garden patio soirée 5-9pm, followed by the usual nocturnal (night time) indoor getdown 9-2am.

LFS (LE FRIQUE SONIQUE) is back, celebrating the bold, untamed styles of every culture worldwide… Afrobeat, Disco, House, Cumbia, Reggae, Samba, Soul and Boogie meld and clash amidst sweaty bodies of every hue and shape – absolutely all are welcome here and intolerance will not be tolerated.

The return of our inaugural special guest the Philly legend RICH MEDINA, plus KPFK’s DJ SEANO as well.

It all goes down at Resident in the Arts District of LA. The last LFS events sold out and we had to turn folks away, so grab pre-sale tickets now. The first 100 tickets will be discounted for those who need to live a bit leaner these days.

Every LFS is a fundraiser for an organization or cause – either on a global level or simply for a local person who needs our help. The intention is that we’ll all have more fun and release more tension if we know that, just by showing up we’re helping someone… we’re making a difference. For this first season of events we’re raising funds and awareness for @PawsForLifeK9 – an organization that pairs shelter dogs with inmates in maximum security prisons. The work they do is profound.
