Masters at Work member and foundational NY producer, DJ and remixer Louie Vega comes to Knockdown Center. The inimitable Vega has been a major figure in global dance music for decades, working with Michael Jackson, Madonna and many more. He has written some of house music’s most enduring classics. He’s joined by Joe Claussell and Anané. Claussell is a rare peer: his Body & Soul events were seminal bastions of uncompromising deep house. Claussell’s productions, studio collaborations and label curation are some of the most beloved entries in the dance music canon. Cape Verde-born Anané is the founder of Nulu Music and an accomplished artist, vocalist and more. She has a storied career that has taken her everywhere from Ibiza to performances for the African National Conference and the Super Bowl. All three embody the timeless power of house music and the rich history of dance music in New York.
