“A musical prodigy turned evil genius,” (Spinner) bassist Michael Feinberg is a leading force of today’s jazz and creative music scene. Releasing his 10th album on Sep 29, Feinberg’s music has been described as “embracing elements of pop music and the avant-garde with a strong flair for jazz music of the here and now” (Creative Loafing). As a bassist, Feinberg has been seen and heard alongside a wide array of artists including Dave Liebman, Jon Batiste, Billy Hart, Melanie Charles, Knower, Victor Lewis, Aaron Parks, Dayme Arocena, and Lee Ritenour. A graduate of the University of Miami, Michael is a teaching artist at Berklee College of Music and a board member of Experience Ayiti, a non profit dedicated to empowering Haitians through education, cross cultural collaboration, and professional training.

Tain spent his formative years with Wynton & Branford Marsalis and his writing skills now command equal attention, highlighted by a 2017 Guggenheim Fellowship in Music Composition. Watts has recorded and toured with George Benson, Harry Connick Jr, Kenny Garrett, Michael Brecker, Kenny Kirkland, Courtney Pine, Geri Allen, Alice & Ravi Coltrane, Greg Osby, McCoy Tyner, Steve Coleman & Fort Apache. “Along with explosive power, blinding speed and mastery of complex rhythms and time signatures, Watts brings a rare sense of elegance, tried-by-fire composure, and a gritty street funk to his music. His artistic ingenuity expresses itself in his incomparable technique, sweltering sense of swing, and an extraordinary ability to imbue his music with majestic grace and elegant repose. A true jazz innovator, Watts never fails to deliver the percussive magic that has been his trademark since his emergence on the contemporary jazz scene.” (All About Jazz)
