GRAMMY Museum SESH is a suite of sessions designed to introduce, educate, equip, and inspire our community with skills, knowledge, and resources used throughout the music industry. These sessions consist of, After-School SESH for Middle & High School, Industry SESH for ages 18+, and Family SESH for all ages. This FAMILY SESH program will be hosted on the Museum’s Rooftop and will feature a children’s book reading, Q&A, and a live family music set by Ziggy Marley – celebrating the release of the deluxe More Family Time album.
FAMILY SESH is led by the GRAMMY Museum’s Education and Community Engagement Department. The Community Engagement department was established with the goal of increasing the Museum’s impact in the diverse communities of Los Angeles
About Ziggy Marley: Ziggy Marley is an eight-time Grammy winner, Emmy winner, musician, producer, activist and humanitarian who has cultivated a legendary career for close to 40 years. The eldest son of Bob and Rita Marley, Ziggy has hewed his own path as a musical pioneer, infusing the reggae genre with funk, blues, rock and other elements through mindful songcraft. Equal parts master storyteller and motivational guide, he deftly explores issues from environmental awareness to self-empowerment, social injustice to political inequity, while returning again and again to the transformative power of love.
