Jazz’s influence runs deep in salsa music. Since the beginning of salsa, musicians incorporated jazz techniques, like syncopation, brass sections, and spontaneous solos, which brought sophistication and dynamism to the genre. This blend gave salsa its vibrant, layered sound, making it both rhythmically intense and melodically rich, and enhancing its appeal to dancers and listeners worldwide.
