We are excited to share our first artist residency since moving into our new University Park studio post pandemic. Over the past 6 weeks, artists Nina Keith and Sammie Veeler have been conducting intensive work on a collaborative exhibition and sound installation, Severity of Belonging, the culmination of many years of research, development, and ongoing practice.
Severity of Belonging is a collaborative exhibition featuring Nina Keith’s Periphone and Sammie Veeler’s Memory Terminal. An ante-posthumous water avatar and a temporary archive. Two artifacts which hope to serve as decoration in the vestibule of your life. If you could have, would you witness a botched miracle attempt?
Nina Keith is a multidisciplinary artist and composer from Philadelphia currently based in Los Angeles. Her work explores themes of death and groundlessness through music and sound art.
Sammie Veeler is a Los Angeles-based artist and organizer working with poetry, performance, software, and computer hardware.
