Back in the 1920s, movie ranches were developed for location shooting in Southern California to support the making of popular western films. Locals would gather just out of view of the camera to watch a production in real time, and because of this, much of LA County’s landscape has achieved a confounding celebrity status for just about an entire century of cinema.

This Sunday we’re gathering on National Parks land for our very first time, along the horse-trodden road of a historic Malibu Canyon, to honor to ministry and the music of our local Queen, singer, and writer, Jimetta Rose. On this summer evening Jimetta will be joined by The Voices of Creation for a performance that’s sure to inspire fireworks, though we kindly ask that you please do not bring any.

We’ll see you under the sun, or on the set of Westworld / Dr Quinn Medicine Woman / The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire, whichever you prefer…
