Tatiana Tate, a trumpeter and composer from North Long Beach, California, boasts an impressive resume. Tatiana is an NAACP Act-So Champion, she has been a soloist with the Colburn Conservatory Jazz Workshop Band and the Arturo Sandoval All-Star Youth Jazz Band. She’s shared the stage with legends like David Sanborn, Clora Bryant, Chaka Khan, Stanley Clarke, and Ronnie Laws. Inspired by Freddie Hubbard and Kamasi Washington, she blends free improvisation, avant-garde experimentation, and melodic elements, infusing spiritual, afro-futurist jazz with hip-hop rhythms and global influences. Join her and her all-star band this Friday at The World Stage!
