As we honor the life and legacy of El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, Malcolm X, in the historic Audubon Ballroom where he took his last breath, Dr. Betty Shabazz, his beloved wife, transformed this site from tragedy to triumph in order to empower the next generation of leaders toward building an equitable and just society.

Malcolm’s visionary leadership, unwavering commitment to justice, and profound impact on human rights continue to inspire generations across the globe. On this momentous evening, we will reflect on his legacy through words, music, and collective remembrance—reaffirming our dedication to the principles he championed.
