From the Soundboard is usually a show that focuses on concerts regardless of genre. Where the artist and/or group perfecting the art of “call and response” with its audience. On Tuesday, May 30 starting at midnight (Monday into Tuesday), the program is dedicated to the upcoming Harlem-based 12th Annual The People’s Film Festival. This program will include interviews from various filmmakers. We will also hear a mix by DJ Black Icon One from WBAI’s Harlem Connection (which airs on Fridays from 10 pm to midnight).
Rooted in the belief in freedom of speech and media access to all—The People’s Film Festival (TPFF) was founded in 2012 to provide venues, resources, and information for independent filmmakers, producers, and creatives.  Over the last 12 years, TPFF has become known as the “The Voice of ‘The People” — the place to tell your story your way and have a genuine impact on that audience.
