Busta Rhymes and J Dilla Reunite for Dillagence II

Nearly two decades after the original Dillagence mixtape, Busta Rhymes returns with Dillagence II, a new album built around previously unreleased production from J Dilla.

The project continues one of hip-hop’s most powerful creative partnerships, reconnecting Busta’s unmistakable energy and rhythmic precision with Dilla’s timeless production.

BUSTA RHYMES RETURNS TO THE DILLA VAULT

Busta Rhymes and J Dilla’s creative relationship stretches back to the 1990s. Dilla contributed production to several of Busta’s albums, including fan favorites such as “Still Shining,” “Show Me What You Got” and “Turn Me Up Some.”

Following Dilla’s passing in 2006, Busta joined DJ Mick Boogie for the original Dillagence mixtape in 2007, delivering new verses over a collection of Dilla beats.

Dillagence II carries that connection into a new era. The album draws from the collection of more than 300 beats Dilla entrusted to Busta before his passing, with Busta continuing his longtime commitment to protecting and celebrating Dilla’s musical legacy.

A GENERATION-SPANNING GUEST LIST

The project brings together an incredible lineup of artists from across hip-hop, R&B, soul and jazz, including D’Angelo, Common, Big Sean, Anderson .Paak, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Talib Kweli, T3, Jon Batiste and more.

Ahead of the album, Busta introduced the new chapter with “SPAZZZ” and “Talk Ya Shit” featuring Lil Wayne.
