NEW RELEASE: R&B Singer, Eric Roberson, Releases EP “Wind”

0-1

Grammy award-nominated singer and songwriter, Eric Roberson, releases his new EP, Wind on Friday, July 21st.  Wind is the second installment of the singer’s Earth, Wind & Fire EP trilogy. The new music is available is currently available for pre-order exclusively at www.EricRobersonMusic.com.

Wind comes just 3 months post the debut of Earth, the first release of the trilogy.  This melodic soundtrack is an 8-track project that features urban contemporary veteran Will Downing on the single, “Lyrics Of Pleasure.” The standout record, “Claire,” is an ode to Claire Huxtable, “The Cosby Show’s” matriarch character played by actress Phylicia Rashad. Eric’s tribute is nostalgic and reminds the listener of the role Claire played in our everyday lives.  You wanted Claire to be your mother and, as a male, you wanted to search for a Claire to be your mate.

Love and the ups and down of love is the ongoing theme of Wind. Eric wrote and executive produced the entire project.

The idea of doing a trilogy came to Roberson as he was writing and recording music that did not fit together as a sole album, so he decided to break them up into three separate projects. “When I write, I get lost in the music process,” said Roberson. The third and final installment, Fire, is set to be released this coming October.

Roberson has consistently maintained his success as an independent artist, without the financial backing of a major label or mainstream radio support. He has written and produced for R&B heavy hitters, such as Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild, Vivian Green and many others.
