Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, and raised in Chicago, she studied music in New York before settling in New Orleans in the early ’90s. She has performed at iconic venues like Snug Harbor and festivals including Jazz Fest and Essence Fest, sharing stages with legends such as Ellis Marsalis and Benny Green.
