Join us at Lore Leimert Park for an intimate evening of live jazz with Black Nile, the Inglewood-born brother duo of Aaron and Lawrence Shaw.

Both GRAMMY-nominated artists, the brothers have performed with artists including Herbie Hancock, Tyler, The Creator, John Legend, Nubya Garcia, and Raphael Saadiq. Together, they bring a fresh, boundary-pushing approach to jazz, blending improvisation with hip-hop, modern production, and the sounds of Los Angeles.

Rooted in LA’s rich Black jazz tradition, Black Nile sees jazz as more than a genre — it’s a language, a cultural force, and a way of moving through the world. Their music honors the musicians and communities that shaped them while pushing the tradition forward.

Their latest album, Indigo Garden, was created during their 2025 artist residency at MASS MoCA and released in 2026 on MASS MoCA Records, featuring cover art by renowned artist Charles Gaines.
