From 1964 to 1972, John and Alice Coltrane raised their family in a mid-century home on Long Island while creating music that changed the world. The music of this period spans from John’s A Love Supreme to Alice’s Journey in Satchidananda.
Please join us for an intimate evening of listening and conversation led by their daughter, vocalist Michelle Coltrane. Through music and memory, Michelle will take us inside this period of her parents’ lives and work while sharing why preserving the John and Alice Coltrane Home matters.
The evening will feature tracks selected by Michelle, accompanied by her personal recollections and insights into her parents’ art. At the heart of the evening will be the story of the Coltrane Home, its restoration, and an invitation to support the future of this historic place.
