The Angelica Sanchez Nonet brings together nine distinctive improvisers that blurs the boundaries between composition and collective creation. Sanchez’s writing is shaped around the individual voices of the musicians, creating flexible forms that shift and evolve through improvisation and deep listening. For this performance, Sanchez and the Nonet will premiere a new original work, continuing her exploration of open form, collective interaction, and spontaneous creation.
