GENA unites Detroit drummer and producer Karriem Riggins—renowned for his work with Common, Erykah Badu, Madlib, and the late J Dilla—with Dallas singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer Liv.e, one of contemporary R&B’s most adventurous voices. Their debut album, The Pleasure Is Yours, blends jazz, soul, hip-hop, and experimental R&B into a sound that’s both deeply rooted and unmistakably forward-thinking.

The Changing Same (TCS) has been a home for artists and audiences exploring the evolving sounds of R&B, Soul, Jazz, and the Black diaspora.
