ABOUT THE SHED:
TheShed (a New York City jam session established in 2013) is the brainchild of Grammy and Emmy award accredited music producer/engineer, Anu Sun. Since 2013, The Shed has been ranked one of New York City’s top jam sessions.
Over the years The Shed has garnered a reputation as a hang for the hottest musicians in New York City’s Jazz and R&B scene, and as a launchpad for emerging talent. Some even venture to say that The Shed is like an underground “Showtime at The Apollo.”
In speaking of The Shed, Anu stated that he started The Shed to find the best up-and-coming progressive talent, and to build his rolodex of skilled musicians.
Shed supporters refer to the music, fashion and cultural experience at the event as “music church.” A special added perk of the event is the surprise pop-up celebrity appearances.
