Miles Electric Band founder/drummer Vince Wilburn, Jr. brings radio show “Evolution Of The Groove” to KPFK Radio 90.7FM in Los Angeles. In the spirit of Miles, the free form, progressive platform will cover a multitude of genres and topics, designed to keep the cultural conversation moving forward.

Host Wilburn, Jr., along with Grammy-winning audio engineer Dave Hampton, will take a deep dive into music, art and culture with no genre boundaries, the first three Friday’s of each month between 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. PST. “Evolution of The Groove” debuts September 7 with a special Chicago segment featuring Darryl Jones, Tom Tom Washington and Michael White.

The title “Evolution Of The Groove” is taken from a 2007 Miles Davis re-mix EP featuring Nas and Santana, which Wilburn, Jr. is a producer on. Davis, widely noted as one of the most innovative musicians of all time, is the uncle and musical mentor of Wilburn, Jr.
