Last fall, it was announced that Ma Dukes would be assembling a posthumous album release by her son, J Dilla, featuring unheard beats and a collection of Detroit rappers.

Almost half a year later, we get to hear the first bit from the album, titled “The Rebirth of Detroit.” The song, “Detroit Madness” features frequent Dilla associate Phat Kat.

The snippet is two minutes long, which consider the average length of many of Dilla’s greatest tunes, might as well be a full track.
