Photos & Video: Minds Matter of Los Angeles Benefit
Minds Matter of Los Angeles recently hosted their 3rd annual Spring fundraising benefit at The Mark in Beverly Hills in honor of their first graduating class. The event, which was sponsored by Wells Fargo, PWC, Light Iron and Ernst & Young, was attended by MMLA’s students and generous donors, and featured a display of student’s accomplishments, silent auction and costume photo booth.
The mission of Minds Matter of Los Angeles is to transform the lives of academically achieving high school students from low-income families by broadening their dreams and preparing them for college success.
MMLA does this by providing a rigorous program of tutoring and mentoring, as well as scholarships to leading academic summer school programs.
Since its inception more than twenty years ago in New York, 100% of Minds Matter graduates have been accepted to four year colleges or universities.
MMLA is run entirely by volunteers and relies on the generous support of individuals and sponsors to make the program possible.
