Pop Dukes Needs Our Prayers & Help [Music Monday]
Legendary producer J.Dilla’s father, “Pop Dukes” needs our prayers and help.
Born Beverly Dewitt Yancey, on October 8th, 1932 as one of ten children reared at home. He was probably the single most influential person in Dilla’s musical development. (Pops is also the ghostwriter of the well-known Spinners hit, “It’s a Shame”.
Three months ago, he became seriously ill and has been in critical condition since. Currently, the Yancey’s do not have health insurance to cover these hospital costs. If you would like to help out and donate, please send any donations via Paypal to yanceymaureen@yahoo.com
