SoundCloud’s Year in Review & 2019 Artists to Watch
It’s been an exciting year at SoundCloud! From our groundbreaking DJ tools announcement to integration with Instagram and the expansion of SoundCloud Premier, has rolled out over 12 big updates to the platform in 2018 to continue supporting and empowering our community of creators – the largest in the world!
Taking a look back to celebrate creators across the platform over the past 12 months, many of whom got their start first on SoundCloud (#SCFIRST), the 2018 SoundCloudPlayback covers 9 categories and rounds out with a look at the 2019 Artists to Watch, and they are launching playlists to accompany each!
Juice WRLD, who released his first track on SoundCloud back in 2015, claims the titles of ‘Top Artist’ and ‘Top Track’, The Chainsmokers’ “Don’t Let Me Down” claims ‘Top Remix’ and Two Friends. tops out the year with the ‘Top DJ Set’ for the 2nd year in a row.
SoundCloud’s 2019 Artists to Watch list includes: mobilegirl, Thutmose, Duendita, Octavian, Leaf, JEVON, Ashnikko, Pink $weat$, Chloe Lilac, Rosalía, Tierra Whack, Clairo, Teflon Sega, Ruuth, Lil Mosey, Ama Lou, Pardison Fontaine, Gunna and Yaeji.
