Day of the Dead celebration features live performances, altars and activities for children and families

For the fourth straight year, LA City Councilman Curren D. Price, Jr. will host the “South Los Angeles Día de los Muertos Festival.” The FREE, family-oriented community event includes live music, altars (offerings), arts & crafts and food.

Artists performing at the outdoors festival include: EASTSIDE ALL STARS  ft. members of Tierra, Thee Midnighters & Poncho Sanchez, Cuban/Caribbean group Changüí Majadero; JukeBox playing Spanish Rock, Cumbia, Flashbacks and Norteñas; Los Angeles-based Mariachi Quinto Sol, DJ Gazoo & hosted by RaqC

A Tree of Life sculpture and Day of the Dead altars (ofrendas) produced by Self Help Graphics & Art – a nationally-recognized organization dedicated to the production, interpretation and distribution
of prints and other art media by Chicana/o and Latina/o artists.
