A3C Festival Announces 2012 Dates and Early Bird Tickets

In the midst of one of the nation’s other most popular music festivals, SXSW, the A3C Hip Hop Festival announces their 2012 dates and early bird ticket specials. The annual 3-day event will return to Atlanta’s Masquerade October 11-13, 2012 and festival attendees can purchase tickets now at almost half the price for a limited time.

 

The A3C has not only become the largest Hip Hop festival in the southeastern United States, but is the premier gathering place for MCs, DJs and producers that create Hip Hop music as well as participants and fans of the culture. The 2012 festival included such exemplary artists as Big Daddy Kane, M.O.P. and Jean Grae. A3C will be accepting artists submissions shortly through both Sonicbids and ReverbNation.

 

3-day passes for the 2012 A3C Hip Hop Festival are on sale now through the A3C website for $33 until August 1, 2012. Purchase a 3-day pass before April 1, 2012 to also receive a complimentary 2012 A3C collectable Woodallion. Woodallion ticket packages, which include 3-day passes, will increase to $45 after April 1, 2012. 3-day tickets at the door during the festival will cost $60.

 

In addition to live performances and showcases, the A3C Hip Hop Festival features turntable, producer and Bboy competitions as well as educational and community programming including panel discussions, demos and workshops. The Pro Audio and DJ Gear Experience will once again showcase major manufacturers both in a trade show and onstage.

 

A number of the artists performing in A3C’s SXSW showcase on March 17, 2012 will perform at the festival in the fall. Specific showcase, panel, artists and event updates will be announced through the A3C website on a rolling basis and continuing through the event’s start on October 11, 2012. Now in its 8th year, the A3C Hip Hop Festival is a 2-day, 3-night event held annually in Atlanta, GA and features live performances from a variety of more than 200 artists. The live performance schedule is enhanced by day and evening content showcasing some of the most exciting breakdance, graphic art, fashion, film, equipment demonstrations and panels relating to Hip Hop culture.

 

Since 2005, the event has featured over 600 of the most elite artists in Hip Hop including: Rakim, Buckshot, Black Sheep, DJ Premier, The Juice Crew, Biz Markie, Del the Funky Homosapien, The Clipse, Souls of Mischief, Little Brother, Wale and B.o.B. In 2011, the A3C was attended by 20,000 fans and featured partnerships and co-sponsored events with Red Bull, Fadia Kader’s Perfect Attendance, 2DopeBoyz, TheSmokingSection, iStandard, Kevin Nottingham, Unique Squared, DJBooth, SESAC and more.
