Headlining this year is the one and only Patti LaBelle, the “Godmother of Soul,” bringing raw vocal power and electrifying stage presence to downtown San Jose. She’s joined by NOLA Ambassador Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, legendary funk band Zapp Ft. Tuxedo, the Afro-Cuban All Stars, powerhouse New York saxophonist Lakecia Benjamin, King of Latin Soul Joe Bataan, rising soul star Adi Oasis, Thee Sinseers and dozens more across eight stages over three unforgettable days.

The lineup spans continents and generations, featuring trumpeter Bria Skonberg showcasing her upcoming album “Brass;” pianist Dayramir González from Havana, Cuba, the trad Korean/rock mashup Insun Park & The Generals and guitarist Jimmy James’ new project Parlor Greens. A special Main Stage collaboration brings together tenor saxophonist Javon Jackson, vocalist Nnenna Freelon, alto saxophonist Charles McPherson and pianist George Cables, while Nicolas Bearde presents a tribute to legendary bluesman Charles Brown and drummer Mike Clark brings together his “Post-Boptet.”
