An intimate event honoring the enduring legacy of the Soulquarian collective and the sound that would come to be known as neo-soul.
Through conversation, storytelling, and curated musical moments, Niara Sterling, Matt Talley and Founding member of the Soulquarians Talib Kweli will reflect on the Soulquarians’ artistic philosophy, their impact on Black creative expression, and the lasting imprint of albums, studios, and scenes that changed the musical landscape, as well as a look into what the future holds.
Both a tribute and a critical dialogue, the event celebrates neo-soul not just as a genre, but as a movement rooted in love, freedom, and collective genius. Enjoy sounds by DJ Jahsonic following the discussion.
