Band leader Baba BG returns to MotorCity Wine with his 10+ piece Afrobeat Orchestra.

Odu Afrobeat Orchestra is a 13-piece powerhouse ensemble blending Yoruba rhythmic heritage with Detroit’s legendary musical grit. Founded in 2003 and led by vocalist, composer, and creative director Baba BG, the band channels the ancestral thunder of Afrobeat into a modern, cosmic vibrations, and electrifying force built for global stages.

Their sound fuses Yoruba percussion, jazz horns, funk and highlife, cinematic orchestration, spiritual chants, and Detroit groove. The result is a high-energy, deeply spiritual performance experience that moves audiences from the first downbeat.
