Introducing Miami Nocturne — a new weekly series, every Thursday night, live from The Pool Hall at Red Rooster Overtown, spotlighting Miami’s finest alongside international touring artists shaping the sound of our city after dark.

In the spirit of legendary owner, operator, and promoter Clyde Killens, who once said of the Pool Hall, “there was always somebody big in there,” this series carries that legacy forward — a room where great artists and great audiences continue to find each other.

Spearheaded by Latin Grammy nominated pianist Martin Bejerano, The Purple Project takes the very best of legendary artist Prince reimagined in a jazz fusion context. Their eponymous album features fantastic and innovative arrangements, combining a live rhythm section with lush string orchestration, to create an electrifying homage to one of the most important artists of our time. The Project features an incredible band of musicians, with drummer Lucas Apostoleris, bassist Marty Quinn, and legendary South Florida vocalist Nicole Yarling.
