Born and raised in New Orleans’ Seventh Ward, Thais Clark is a high-energy performer with a deep-rooted passion for the bawdy numbers popularized by blues legends Ma Rainy and Bessie Smith. Regarded as a New Orleans vocal legend, this dynamic singer-dancer can present each song like no one else, having more than 30 years of experience performing before audiences at home and around the world. Thais performed in the New Orleans-born, hit Off-Broadway musical set in 1920s Black vaudeville, “One Mo’ Time,” alongside the late great, Topsy Chapman.

Tonight, Clark is joined by the Young Bucks Orchestra, a collective of young emerging jazz musicians based locally in New Orleans.
