On May 1st, come celebrate 10 years of WDFA Radio with us at Boogie . Back in 2016, Daniel Szabo and myself decided to start up an online show at CTRL ROOM , showcasing talented up and coming Toronto DJs/Producers in underground dance, D&B, Hip Hop and Dancehall, as well as established ones. The idea of the name came from a lil party crew myself and John Hess came up with back in 2000.
As time went on, we began to curate a lineup of shows hosted by well respected individuals in urban and dance music and ventured in promoting late night parties in the city.
We appreciate those who have followed us and supported us through the years. Those who have chuned in to our shows. Those who have come out to our parties. Those who has sported our t-shirts, giving 2 middle fingers to the gentrified who claim they’re underground and to those who accept us in this scene(Trust there are many that don’t)
We are happy to have been able to do our part to contribute to this house music scene and hope to continue for many years to come and help keep this underground scene alive.
On May 1st, we will be celebrating by showcasing the DJs shows that helped build WDFA RADIO by dedicating their time every week over the years
