Legendary song stylist Frank Sinatra—The King of Swing—turns 100 this weekend and celebrations abound for the Rat Pack stalwart. One of the most iconic and innovating music artists of the 20th century, Frank Sinatra performed on 1400 recordings, won 10 personal Grammys, and produced 8 movies. He managed to span music genres from the swing era to rock & roll. His 100th Birthday has spawned a worldwide celebration of performances, books, TV specials and documentaries, with parties spanning across the globe. Dre Sinatra

The Grammy Museum has had a sprawling interactive exhibition: Sinatra: America Icon” dedicated to Sinatra open since October which highlights his connection to the city (he was Capitol’s top artist for years).  His daughter Nancy recalls, “Dad always said, ‘I’d like to pass along to people what I know and what I do. With this exhibit, the Sinatra family proudly shares personal and professional insights into the life and times of Frank Sinatra.”



Sinatra Sings Sinatra: Frank Sinatra’s son Frank Jr. spends Saturday night interpreting his dad’s tunes at the Sinatra Centennial Celebration. A full orchestra will back Frankie Jr. as he celebrates his dapper, charismatic father in song at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.
